HIV is transmitted by exchange of bodily fluids from someone who is infected with HIV to someone who is not. It is transmitted through unprotected sexual intercourse (intercourse without condom/barrier) with an infected person, sharing needles for drug works with someone who is infected, Mother to child during labor, and during breastfeeding. Although a child carries thier mothers immune system for a year after being born, it is possible for the child to be uninfected if the child gets medication. The 5 main bodily fluid that can transmit the HIV virus are Blood, Semen, Pre-Cum, Vaginal Secretions, and Breast Milk. Although the HIV Virus is present in other bodily fluids, not enough is present to transmit the virus.
